Cori watched from the edge of the room as all of her classmates were practicing using their powers. So many of them had powers that were tangible, like freezing parts of the room or manipulating fire or water. Her power wasn't anything like that. It was safe for everyone else to be around her. But it wasn't exciting. Perhaps it meant that Mrs. Sullivan would like her a little better than the kid who was throwing the fireballs.
She couldn't help but laugh when Mrs. Sullivan had to dodge out of the way for a few of the fireballs that were tossed in her general direction. She could see Penny's lips moving and the glare that she shot at the other student, so Cori stopped laughing but let a cheeky grin stay at least. 'Good job,' she signed to the boy playing with fire, rolling her eyes but smiling a little still.
