Who: Sumi and anyone
What: Taking a job hunting break
When: Tuesday, around Noon
Where: A small cafe
Sumi had a free day, and as annoying as it was to spend the day looking for a job, that's what she was doing. She only had a little spending money a month, and that was only compliments of her parents. If she was going to truly experience New York City during her time here, she was going to need a bit more spending money. She had a few auditions, but there was no guarantee she would be chosen, as she had no professional experience or schooling in acting. If only becoming an actress were as easy as it sounds. Go to New York, plays and musicals are everywhere, so obviously you'll get a part. The only problem was that no, it wasn't that easy. This is the reason she was out applying for jobs now. She had already applied at a few diners, so hopefully she would have something soon.
She walked into this cafe, not really looking for lunch more for a pick me up. Something sweet to help get her through the rest of the outing. She walked in, got a cup of coffee, a veggie wrap, and an application. She then sat down and began working on the application. She smiled a few of the other customers pleasantly. Despite her non existant income, she still felt happy to be in New York. She knew her parents wouldn't let her starve or anything, and she didn't have to worry about school costs. She was probably one of the luckier girls her age that she knew. Even if something came from her auditions, when she gets accepted into the Veterinary program in a few years, she would have to leave the spotlight. She was just hoping to make the most out of her stay in New York, for it was a place that her grandfather always told her great stories about. Perhaps that was one of her main reasons to go to college here. It's not like there aren't other schools that have Veterinary medicine programs, afterall. She looked out of the window as she took a small bite of her wrap. Her eyes glossed over a little as they watered while she held back a tear. She didn't need to cry, for her grandfather would be proud, right?
