Eden chuckled at his agreeing with her about not wanting to go home to the parents. She took another bite of her wrap,
"Yeah, it isn't really the norm anymore for parents try to play matchmaker for their kids. And I don't just mean dating," she swallowed, "I mean like they're trying to find me a proper future husband." She tore a smaller piece of the tortilla wrapping and popped in in her mouth, "So what's the beef you got with your parents?"
She smiled when he said it was nice to hear her talk about mutants that way. "True, also with a lot of them it wasn't a choice, it's just genetics. I mean one of my friends was actually one of the last gen 1 kids and like they didn't have any choice, they weren't even born when it happened. So it wasn't like a choice like some others. I think the people who bought powers shouldn't complain...they choice to buy one ya know? I mean I'm not going to complain when I buy one, I'm choosing that life for myself." And she did notice how he almost slipped and said we're but if he was fine being in the mutant closet for now that was fine by her. She wouldn't push it...which isn't normal for her so for that Jaden should be thankful.
