Caleb just casual sipped his beer as she spoke...she talked...a lot...reminded him a lot of the lovely Mrs. Clarke on the few times he was invited over for family dinners. In their sessions she was very quiet, but holy shit could she talk your ear off if you got her going. But back to point. He realized that Dawn's rambling either was her normal way or he was making her nervous with his appraising stare. He knew in time he'd figure it out, but he better stop with the stare.
She had a nice firm handshake, not that limp wristed hand slap thing that most girls did. To be fair most those girls were in bars and had had one too many and had a hard time staying on their feet not mind giving a firm handshake. However Caleb was a very picky fellow which would lead anyone to understand why he hadn't been with a woman since he and Abby broke up...if you don't count that one quickie in the hallway during his Hellfire days...which he wasn't counting.
Caleb chuckled at her little joke, "Won't blame you there, Miller is cheap but if I'm gonna drink I prefer to splurge for the good stuff. Anything else is just a waste of money and my time. He gave her figure another quick scan as she glanced away. By the time she turned back he was there to meet her eyes. He glanced over her shoulders...oh...darts...he had many a memory of that. Sure most of them were from Hellfire. He was one of the best however whenever he went to get his darts off the dartboard some of the others would throw their darts at him. Seeing if his body would turn to steel to protect him, since they assumed that is what GUARDIAN would use to take him down. Tranquilizing darts or darts with poison. So he had to be ready at all times. Now whenever he turned his back on someone his back automatically went to steel.
"Pool...somewhat...not really...but darts...I'm a darts master. Are you offering up a challenge?" He grinned, Dawn seemed like a cool girl...now one more thing he had to figure out before he'd push her at Tommy...was she a good mutant or a filthy norm.
