Who: Ari Silverman and Josie Clarke
What: Ari confides in Josie
Where: Grey Dog coffee shop in Greenwich Village
When: Backdated to Thursday, July 26th
Rating: Very low, but sad
Ariella sat down at the cafe and set her purse down on the back of the chair. She looked as if she was staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, that she knew was about to go off at any second. She could have easily talked to her husband or her children or even her siblings about this but she didn't want to look at them when she told them what was possibly happening to her. How was she supposed to live normally and happily if they were always giving her that look of pity?
This whole bit was silly. It was probably nothing after all, right? She was just freaking out over something that wasn't a huge problem. But deep down, Ari knew better. She had been a nurse for over twenty years now and she knew the signs. The shock of it possibly being her though was what hadn't quite settled in. She knew how to comfort others who were in her situation; she knew what to say; she knew how to take care of them. But she didn't know how to take care of herself or how to break it to her family.
So, Ariella thought it best to confide in someone she had once helped many moons ago. Josie Allen, or rather Josie Clarke now, was someone that Ariella had helped on the island when she found out that she was pregnant with Dale. She certainly didn't approve of the girl having the child out of wedlock or having pre-marital sex but the girl needed a helping hand and Ariella was there when she needed that hand. She'd prayed that the younger woman could help her in her time of need as well, so she sat and waited for her to arrive at the cafe, having already sent Toby, Ayelet, and Eli to the park to meet up with Dale and the twins.
