Who: Jacen and Open What: Getting his phone fixed Where: Apple store When: Sunday Rating: Low
"Hi! Welcome to the Apple Store. Can I help you?"
Jacen smiled awkwardly at the overly cheerful "Apple Genius" who approached him as he entered the store. His phone had been giving him some trouble lately, and he had managed to figure out what was wrong after a while of just messing with it. He pulled it out of his pocket and showed it to her.
"Yeah. I need a new battery for my phone. I think it's about had it." He handed over the phone to the girl, whose name was apparently Cindy according to her apple badge. She took it and looked it over curiously before starting to stroll over toward the back of the store.
"Are you sure it's the battery?"
"Pretty sure."
"What is it doing?"
"Well, it keeps turning off or freezing, and when I get it back up and running, the battery is dead. And I'll charge it all night and use it only once and when I look at it again, the battery is dead again."
"Hm. Did you turn it off and turn it back on?"
"Yep."
"Hard reboot?"
"Yep."
"Plug it into iTunes?"
"Yep."
"Throw it against a wall?"
"Little bit."
The girl giggled and walked behind the counter. She typed up some things in her computer and scanned his phone, bringing up his account. Jacen just leaned up against the counter and waited patiently for her to do whatever it was she was doing. "Ah, Mister Allen. I see your phone is still under warranty. Good thing. Let me just take it to the back and run it through our machine. If it needs a new battery, we'll be happy to get you one free of charge."
"Sounds good to me."
Cindy grinned at Jacen before taking the phone to the back to tinker with it some more. He turned his back on the counter and just leaned against it, watching all the commotion of the typically busy Apple Store. It was then that he heard a familiar voice not too far away from him and he blinked a little as he slowly glanced over to see the exact person he was expecting to see just by the sound of their voice.
