Who Cate and David
What Pay back for a favor, aka dinner
Where Somewhere fancy, around the city, but we begin our evening at Cate's apartment
When June 2nd
Status Incomplete
Rating TBD

So maybe it had been an underhanded way to get a date. No one had ever accused David of being a morally upstanding kind of guy. It wasn't really a date anyway, because that was boring it was payment of a debt. He had gotten the principal off her back--or actuallly her boobs--and she was buying him dinner, but then he was providing a tour of the cool parts of the city for hip adults or whatever. It didn't make them even, really. But it was a start. Maybe if they were never "even", they would get along this time?

In true New Yorker fashion, David hopped out ot the taxi and threw him a little extra money to get him to wait until Cate came down so. He didn't have to flag down another (always a pain). Confident that the man wouldn't drive off while he waited, he made his way into the lobby of her building and pressed the door buzzer for Cate's apartment. (ooc: idk if she has a doorman, I can change it?!)

It was definitely a start. Cate wasn't complaining, anyways. Even if it was a date, and even with her strict 'no coworkers' rule, she probably wouldn't complain. And she complained a lot. It was kind of her thing. But repayment for services was definitely an okay name for it, even if she could have used her own power to do the exact same thing. It was just nice to have someone else come to the rescue for once. She'd missed that.

She'd dressed up a little, because looking nice, even on non-dates was important. David was usually always in a state of looking dapper, if she remembered correctly, and there was no way she was going to let him outshine her. Not tonight, not ever. She was just fixing her hair a little in a hallway mirror when she heard the buzzer.

It took her a little less than a minute to open the door. "Hey, stranger." She smiled.

Hero in the making, that was him. It was no big deal really, he'd been itching to make that man behave himself, he'd just never had a real reason to do it. A lot of the women on staff complained avout him, but he didn't exactly have a soft spot for them or anything.

He was, as predicted, comfortably fashionable for the evening. Not too dressed, up, but not too casual either. She, on the oth hand, looked stunning. "Well hello yourself." He grinned when she let him in, "You look incredible. What's the occasion?"
