Mia sighed. She didn't want small talk. With Tino's apparent new penchant for bad news, she just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. Although time had helped a little, being around Tino in their house, around their kids, had become emotionally exhausting. She had little patience. Rip that band-aid right off. That's what he was good at, right?
