Mia had no idea what was bothering Tino so much, but his whole 'I don't want to tell you over the phone because you'll crash and die' spiel didn't exactly give her high hopes. She didn't even know which of her brothers Tino was referring to. It could just as easily have been Alex as Ben, and she shuddered to think of what kind of news he might be bringing regarding either.
She took a deep breath outside the front door to gather herself, before she pushed it open. Rather than face Tino right away, she went back to the boys to say hello, and then finally drug her feet back to where she had seen Tino in the kitchen. "Hi," she greeted softly, not quite meeting his gaze as had become the norm over the past week.
