Carter's eyes stayed wide and frightened, even though he tried to keep his voice even and calm. He was hoping to get Abby up and out of the apartment before she noticed exactly how bad it looked. However, it wouldn't happen and she flicked on the light and he got a better look at how bad it actually was. As she stared at him with one bloody hand then clenched up in pain he didn't have to think anymore.
Not waiting for a response from her he hooked one arm under her knees and the other around her back as he lifted her off the bed. Reaching up quickly with the hand of the arm that was around her back he tapped the bluetooth that was still in his ear. Then said to call the concierge. One reason Carter liked this building is they had a concierge available 24/7 and at that moment he was grateful. Once he was greeted he simple barked out two words as he made his way to the elevator,
"Car, NOW!" He seemed flustered as he agreed and Carter tapped his bluetooth off. The concierge's all knew that if Carter Manning asks for something Carter Manning better get it. Carter held Abby closer to him as he kissed her forehead as the elevator made it's way down to the lobby. As soon as the doors opened he strode out the concierge looking a little floored at Abby's condition. But he recovered and ushered them out to a car that was waiting. He opened the door and Carter placed Abby in carefully. Making his way around the car quickly, he shouted out,
"You call hospital now say we're on our way and the condition." Slamming the door he shouted at his driver, "Hospital now." He scooted over and pulled Abby into his arms again as he whispered nonsense into her hair trying to calm her. Trying to keep her calm since nothing could calm his racing heart and thoughts.
