Who: Noelle, Penny and possibly Bast
What: Visiting!
Where: WHA
When: Wednesday around lunchtime

Despite the years that had passed between visits to Wyrd Haven, Noelle had no trouble finding the place. Alright, so she'd really honed her skills as far as her power was concerned in those lost years and opened a detective agency. But, in truth, she had found the place by memory. Detection had nothing to do with it.

The place looked good, homey, if not a little devoid of children at the moment, but that wasn't the worst thing. Not that she disliked children. She didn't have her own, but that was more of a not-finding-the-right-guy or my-lifestyle-is-mildly-dangerous sort of thing. Not an I-hate-kids kind of thing. No, she was just glad she could spend time with some old friends with fewer emergencies.

Speaking of old friends, it was probably about time to see them, huh? She tipped the taxi driver, and headed for the door. Did you knock here? She couldn't remember? Walking in seemed as good an idea as any. "Hello?"

"Can I have another waffle, Mommy?"

It was more than just a chore trying to teach little Susie how to ask for things instead of just persuading people to give them to her. What was hardest though was explaining to a seven-year-old that it wasn't nice to just glamor people because you wanted something from them. It was always better to ask. Then, Penny wasn't sure what she would have done if Bast wasn't around. At least he could use her power to cancel out her persuasive tendencies. However, there was nothing on heaven or earth that could persuade her not to eat breakfast for lunch.

"Sure, baby," Penny replied, flipping one over onto her plate. "But don't eat too much or you'll get a tummy ache. Remember last time?" She had a knack for drowning her waffle in syrup.

Susie nodded grimly and went back to the table. That was when Jordan came running into the kitchen. "Noelle Baines is here!" That kid's brain was going to explode one day from how much information he could retain. Penny smiled though and just patted his head as she walked by him to get to the door.

"Ms. Noelle," she said as she made her way out to greet her. "I'm so glad you could make it!"

Noelle thought she caught a small glimpse of a boy, and shortly after heard her name. She imagined it wouldn't be long until someone came to find her.

"Penny! I could not possibly stay away any longer! You look wonderful!" She beamed as she hurried over to give Penny a huge hug. She really needed to visither friends more often. She was turning into a bit of a workaholic, and it was not a quality she admired in others, so she particularly disliked it in herself.

"Do I smell... Waffles?"

Penny giggled as she embraced her dear friend. She hadn't realized just how much she had been missing her until this very moment. "Awww, thank you. And look at you!" She pulled away only slightly as if to show her off. "Gorgeous like always." She smiled and then rolled her eyes a bit. "Ugh. Yes. Susie likes breakfast for lunch. Amongst other things. Don't let her trick you into buying her anything. She is one awfully persuasive little girl."

She slipped her arm through Noelle's and led her up toward the entrance. Once inside, she closed the door behind them and looked around. "Jordan Sullivan. Front and center!"

A poof of fluffy dark hair appeared from around a corner before taking two giant steps toward them and standing at attention in front of them. "At ease, cadet," Penny said, and Jordan relaxed, smiling.

"Hi Noelle," he said, extending out his hand for her to shake. "Welcome back to the Haven." Perfect manners just how she liked it.

Noelle grinned at the compliment but shrugged it off, "Nah, just the same old Noelle, nothing new here. Getting a little older every day, but that's about it."

"What does she eat for breakfast then?" She asked with a quirked eyebrow, she was still as inquisitive as ever. She'd changed professions, but she still had her nose in everyone's business. "I'll try not to be charmed into doing any shopping, but I can't promise not to spoil her anyway." It had been too long since sheen seen those kids. She couldn't imagine how different they'd be now. Pictures were nice, but they never quite did anyone justice.

"Hello, Jordan," she stifled a laugh at the millitary procedure, "Oh my, you're going to pass me up in height one day soon." Considering she'd never been particularly tall to begin with, it wasn't that hard to believe. "But thank you, it's good to be back."

"We're all getting older every day. You're gonna die when you hear this, but ever since Susie was born, I've been finding stray gray hairs. Like once a month. Or two in one week randomly. Ugh. I'm going to have to start dyeing my hair like my mother, aren't I?" She shook her head. Honestly, finding gray hairs was the least of her worries. In fact, she wasn't all that upset about it. At least she was alive and healthy, with two beautiful kids, an adoring husband and their school. What more could she ask for?

"Also waffles. She once convinced me to make them for her for dinner too, but her father caught on and convinced her to stop convincing people to do stuff for her." It was crazy dealing with all the powers in the house and the school, especially for Penny who was always surrounded by so many different ones. She had come up with a system of sorting them out in her head, which seemed to work out rather well in the sense that they didn't all drive her crazy when there was a dozen or more of them in the same room anymore.

Jordan was just standing there with a little grin, bobbing up and down on the balls of his feet. "I'll go get my sister," he said and took off to get Susie.

"No! I don't believe it." Noelle shook her head adamantly, "You are making that up. I can't even imagine you with gray hair." of course, there was a time where she wasn't sure Penny would see twenty, but here she was: married with two lovely children, running a school. It was pretty incredible.

She couldn't help but grin at that, "Smart girl, though. Eat all the waffles you can get when you're young, because you'll be lucky if you have them onxpce a week when you're older."
