She gave him a triumphant sort of smirk when he took a bite of shrimp. She knew he couldn't resist, even if he'd already eaten.
Megan listened to his story thoughtfully. "Well," she began after a long moment, "You did sort of. Abandon them I mean. Not that you. Didn't make the right choice. You were pretty much dammned whatever your decision, though. That doesn't make you bad." She gave a soft shrug and a sympathetic look, "You were just a kid."
