She wasn't in charge of how he interpreted dick-like behavior. If their definitions differed, so be it. Anyway, he hadn't been rude or anything so far, so she'd believe it when she saw it. She would have to agree with him about prefering bluntness to faux-kindness, but even so, she didn't think the was anything wrong with being nice when it was genuine. That said, sometimes a little fakeness was necessary to make it through the day. Or finally get promoted. Not that it had helped so far.
