Dinner was over, evidenced by the dirty dishes and empty beer bottles on the small table between them. Boo had put together a ridiculous amount of food for two people: Kansas City style ribs, grilled sweet corn, pineapple and shrimp skewers and a grilled tomato basil salad. And a selection of his ridiculous beer collection. With Scout working at a bar, (and, alright, Ian too) Boo had access to a lot of local brewery knowledge. He'd been on several brewy tours, and had quite a bit of beer on hand at any given time. It was his only real "drug", since he'd never been real keen on anything that might mess him up too badly (his body is a temple, see) but it was difficult to avoid alcohol. It was something he just had a taste for. No use in denying himself something he enjoyed.

"So, was that sufficiently impressive? You know, without much flexing." Boo asked Alice with a broad and cheeky grin as he began clearing off the small sidewalk-bistro-type table he kept on the roof of his building for outdoor grilling and eating. He didn't get to spend much time in the real honest-to-goodness outdoors since he moved to the city, but it was nice for what it was.
