Gemma was considerably less concerned than Alfie was. It hadn't been nearly as long since she'd been on a date, and she had the cheerful know-how to keep any date from going horrendously wrong via her empathy. She could keep them happy, change their feelings toward her (if they creeped her out enough), whatever she needed to do to make it through the evening unscathed. Did she have to do it often? Not particularly, but it was always nice having that safety net in your back pocket.
Gemma appeared shortly after Alfie did in a white sundress and wedges that embraced the summer weather. She glanced around and spotted him easily, making her way over. "Alfie," she greeted with a small smile. "You're early."
