When Noah shifted his arm and moved Molly even the slightest, she sucked in her breath sharply and let out a quick scream before her arm settled back into a new position. It felt like someone was stabbing her in the shoulder when he had moved her that small amount. Her shirt even brushing against her skin on her collar bone felt like someone was repeatedly rubbing their knuckle over her skin with force. Molly could already tell that her collar bone was broken but she didn't have the stomach to peel back her shirt and see if it was broken to the point of sticking through her skin. Instead of even looking at it, Molly tried to focus on Noah's eyes and glasses.
Through her blurred vision and fluttering eyelids, Molly could see people standing all around them. There was a woman standing behind Noah trying to get a good look at what had happened to the two of them and there were at least a dozen kids behind her filming the accident on their phones. Normally, Molly would have been one of those kids but now, she would never want to video tape something like this again. She was in so much pain and felt so powerless - it was definitely not something that needed to be broadcast for the world to see or read about.
Instead of looking at all of the people, she tried to force her eyes open and look at Noah when he started tapping her on the cheek. Molly felt like her eyes were glued open with the amount of energy she was putting into staying awake but it was to no avail. She could see red lights flashing around them and people moving away from the two of them on the sidewalk. Every part of her body screamed in protest to the slightest movements of Noah beneath her but Molly tried to nod at Noah, to say that she understood she couldn't go to sleep. She had no idea if she was actually nodding at him since her body was still shaking uncontrollably and occasionally going completely rigid.
