Josie smiled and shook her head at her saying she couldn't get up,
"No, it's okay, I know the feeling. Jayden is a bit like that, Jodie is more like Dale though, out and ready to meet the world." She was a little surprised that Brooke had heard she got married, must have heard about it through the grapevine, maybe Jacen or Annie or whoever. It was sort of an event...especially when Dale decided to go invisible in the middle of the reception. Not the best way to break the news to the Clarke's that he married a mutant and now had a mutant step-son. But that was neither here nor there.
"Well the world needs it's cyber geeks," Josie laughed and simply gave a nod at not being married. There was nothing wrong with it. I mean she and Dale were alone for years before she got married, and having Dale was not the reason she married Adrian. She married him because she loved him.
Dale nodded at the woman, "Yeah hi, nice to see you again I guess, no offense but I was six, sup little dude," he glanced down at the ice cream, "Pistachio, good choice dude." He gave a little cheers motion with his cone. Josie slid Rufus's ice cream over towards Brooke. She knew that probably Dale's existence never sat that well with Brooke. Pre-marital sex, child out of wedlock, not the most Christian behaviors. But she thinks Dale grew up pretty well, sure he was in the angsty teen stage now but she knew it would pass eventually. Also even though he tried not to show it he was really a good big brother and the twins adored him.
Josie glanced back to check on the twins and noticed them eating their frozen yogurt happily...and getting it all over their faces. Jodie was using her fingers, "Jo baby, use the spoon." The little girl picked up the little spoon with her sticky fingers and started using that. Josie shook her head and smiled.
"So, is he in preschool? I've been wondering where to send the twins, Dale was old enough to go to WHA when we first moved here. So I'm sort of lost on where to send them. You know a place that's okay with kids with...special parents."
