Penny had just about finished taking down the names of all the boys and calling their parents. Fighting was not tolerated at the school, and they were at least required to be picked up and taken home for the remainder of the day. She wasn't entirely sure if Janey had another class after this, and if that was the case, she was going to have to ask her to get Toni to pick Valerie up. She had instructed the boys to take seats on the other side of the office to avoid any further confrontation just as she saw Janey coming toward her.
Penny and Janey had always had a stable relationship as far as Penny recalled. She was a good teacher and a brilliant artist. Penny had no qualms with her. It was her husband with whom she didn't see eye to eye with. "How is she doing?" Penny asked. Her first concern was always Valerie. Penny knew better than anyone what her powers did to her, and she wanted to avoid that as well.
