Mal wasn't expecting some big apology, especially not from him of all people. And she was quite used to hearing such things that they hardly even fazed her. They simply whisked by her like a caged fly on its way out the door. Yes, it was so predictable that it was boring her already. She hadn't come here to be bored, and since the crying girl was off being dramatic in the kitchen, it was best to just leave anyway.
