Sarah could feel herself shrinking back into the sofa cushions and had the sudden urge to completely melt down in between so that she could just hide from the reality of the situation.
"You don't care what your parents think?" she asked softly, looking over at him uneasily, before her attention shifted to picking at a nonexistent loose thread on her shorts. The fact of the matter was that Sarah's parents were both going to be unreasonably upset if they ever found out that Toby was Jewish, but Sarah was okay with that. They'd gotten over the fact that she wasn't running around in their anti-mutant parades. They'd get over this eventually. Maybe. She hoped.
