"I hope so," Ethan replied smoothly. "Or that we have enough energy or privacy for that matter to even get that far into anything." And despite Neil pulling out every second of this trip, Monday morning still felt like it could arrive in a second. "I'll have to find some time between homework, cooking, cleaning, work at some point and some wii yoga. Fun for everyone. Except, you know, the doofus who has the flexibility of a celery stick." That got a few giggles, though he wasn't sure if it was the word "doofus" or "celery stick". Celery sticks could hold their own in a humor war.
They were nearly home, though this whole time he'd barely touched Neil. He wanted to let the kids hug and kiss him first, but with all the loading of ickles into the car, their touchy-feely moment of "reunited and it feels so good" came and went. Now they were left with Ethan slowly reaching over to just take his hand as he steered with the other. "Breakfast ideas for tomorrow? Anyone? Anyone?"
The car exploded with shouts of "Bagels!" "Pancakes!" "Bacon!" "Pizza!" "BAH-BAH BAH-BAH!" That was Murtagh of course.
"All sound like very good suggestions to me. Get them all written down and mailed to me immediately for consideration."
