Ethan shrugged. "Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?" And he distinctly remembered a time when Ethan forced him to carry around a bow and arrows. Of course, they were props, but Ethan liked how he was able to handle them almost as if he was a pro.
"You're doing the politician talk again." Sometimes Neil forgot that he was out of the Senate chambers and in the real world talking to ickles. Ethan never forgot that, because usually he was with the kids. So, the extent of his vocabulary was at best at a third grade level at the moment. "But then after that, he locked Barney II in her room for so long that he went to the bathroom on her bed." Yeah... that was not a fun night.
Ethan made a face as they finally made it to their car. He didn't like that the press was almost always on them now, made worse by the fact that he and their kids were mutants, and despite all the advances in social reform, they were still a gay couple. The price to pay for freedom was high, but Ethan at least was willing to give it a shot. "Amen to that," he said as he strapped Murtagh up in his car seat.
