Washington was full of idiots. Or at least the majority of people he spent most of his time around seemed more interested in trying to get good publicity by any means possible and hanging around with the lobbists that would take them out to lunch and most of the time just seemed like a bunch of buzzing flies suggesting he vote one way or another. At the end of the day though he remembered that he would end up having to defend every decision and have to look himself in the mirror the next morning. For someone who had spent six years playing secret agent for the government to try and protect the subjects of the Project, he still liked to think that he was honest at his very core. He had been glad to finish off the day and put on a pair of sunglasses before boarding the flight for JFK and home. He hadn't managed to get back since Easter and it had felt like an eternity being with the cherry blossoms and tourists fluttering all around.
Like usual the city was lit up brighter than a Christmas tree as they landed and he was already trying to decide on just grabbing the nearest taxi or seeing if any of his regular car service businesses could send someone last minute. His wish to just get back to his kids though made the taxies seem the quickest. Neil sat back and waited for most of the passengers to unload and get off before grabbing his bag and heading off to navigate his way to the front of the airport. The last thing he had expected was to hear a loud "DADDY" from Sansa that pulled him out of his thoughts of how much beggers should be choosers when it came to a cab in NYC. The fact that they were messed up didn't matter much when they were hitting the floor and had him jumped faster than you could say "1.21 gigawatts". He barely managed to keep his balance as five kids were on him and Murtagh was trying to find a way in. "Glad you guys didn't miss me at all." Neil just looked over at Ethan though with only one look: "Help."
