It was really a beautiful day. It had the potential to be muggy and unbearable, but the waether had chosen to be warm with a nice, light breeze. It was a good sign, Toby thought as he emerged from the subway he took from his house right to the park he played soccer at. He often didn't remember enough about Frye Island to be nostalgic, but he did remember it being very green. Typically he liked the city for the food and the anonymity, but it was the overwhelming amount of parks and green spaces in the city that he liked best. It was like having a little oasis in a desert of very large buildings and traffic.

The only tricky part was if he wasn't careful, he was about three times as likely to have excess plants growing in his wake when he was out there if he wasn't careful. Soccer was no problem, since he was so focused on it. But he'd have to be careful not to let his guard down. Sarah still didn'tknow the most interesting thing about him, and he should probably keep it that way for a little while longer.

He decided the best place to wait for her was near the parking lot. It's where they had met up before, after all, so it seemed logical to him. If not, his phone was with him and turned on. He was just a little early this time, but thankfully not so nervous. He's had a nice time before, and he was counting on it happening again.

In an attempt not to seem over-zealous, Sarah had taken her time getting to the park. She had opted to leave her car at home, which meant when she finally reached the parking lot, she had her headphones in, head bobbing along to the beat of the song with the occasional small dance move thrown in.

When she spotted him, she grinned and tugged out the earbuds, turning off the mp3 player and tossing it into her shoulder bag. "Hey!" She was so busy waving that she forgot she was stepping off a curb and stumbled forward a bit. With a small laugh, she righted herself quickly.

It wouldn't be Sarah with at least one klutzy moment. She'd probably smack her forehead on his when she tried to kiss him.

...Not that she had planned on kissing him or anything. You know. Ahem.

"You haven't been here long, have you?"

Watching Sarah jam out to her music was probably just about the most adorable thing ever. There was a scary moment where she almost fell off the curb, and he was afraid this date would be over before it started, but then she righted herself and everything was okay again.

Toby gave her a little wave and started walking forward to meet her partway across the parking lot. "No not too long." He grinned, "Those were some sweet moves you've got there." He meant that with all sincerity.

	Sarah laughed and waved him off. "I am unashamed of my dancing, thank you very much," she answered, grinning. It helped her loosen up, and honestly, there will plenty of people in the world who could use a little loosening up themselves. They should've tried the Sarah Clarke dance solution. He hadn't been kidding, exactly. He thought she looked pretty great. Confident, happy. It was a good way to be, and probably pretty rare for a teenager. "Well you shouldn't be." He agreed, "In any case, you are a much better dancer than me."

"Alright," Toby nodded, "Lead the way." He was trying to decide if it would be weird if they held hands. Was it too soon? He'd leave it to her.

"Oh, come on. I'm sure you've got moves, Toby." She could definitely see a little electric slide goin' on.

Sarah wasn't exactly shy, but she wasn't the sort of girl who was bold enough to grab his hand either. Besides, she was too busy digging around in her bag for the article she'd promised him. "So I brought a couple copies. I realized after the fact that Eden probably already got them, but, you know..." She trailed off, because the ending of that sentence went a little something like 'I wanted an excuse to see you'.

"Oh! And I printed you a copy of that photo finally. It's in here somewhere, too."

Toby laughed and shook his head, "Be prepared to be let down. I've got no moves." and he was not prepared to whip them out in the park either.

"What have you got there, Mary Poppins' bag?" It seemed to be neverending. Toby would never understand the whole purse concept. He had a wallet, it had money in it and it went in his pocket. Easy.

"Are you sure its in there?"

"Everyone has moves. They just choose not to show them off for fear of embarrassment," she insisted. "But don't worry. I don't plan on forcing you to enter a dance contest any time soon." Maybe one of the formals (or junior prom!) next year, though, if things kept going so well.

"Hey. It's a book bag. It's made for carrying large volumes of... stuff." She handed over the articles in a manilla folder, and then finally managed to dig out the picture. "Here it is." She dusted it off a little, before passing it to him. "I like it."

	"Well that's comforting," Toby laughed, "Because I think everyone would lose if that happened." Volumes was a good way to put it, "Alright," he grinned at her wgen she finally emerged from its depths with a folder, "Just don't get lost in there, okay?" "That one's all yours. I kept one for myself, too." It was hidden in plain sight among pictures with her friends. Her mom would never notice the new face.

Sarah readjusted the bag on her shoulder and stuck her thumbs through two of her belt loops. "I think we picked the perfect day to meet up, you know?" Her head drifted back to look up at the sky. "Perfect weather. Always a good sign."

She had kept a copy. Well. Of course, she had taken the picture. But still. She had a picture of him. Of them. And now he had one too! It was pretty exciting. He wasn't sure if he'd be avle to hide it in plain sight, like she had, but it would be worth a shot. Mothers have sharp eyes by nature.

"It doesn't happen often, around here. I think we lucked out." Toby agreed, "It's almost like someone planned it."

	Sarah was preaching to the choir on that one. Whose parents weren't like that, though? "Yeah, I heard you guys had a class together. You go to Eden's school too. Small world, right?" They took their time ambling around the park, but eventually made the rounds back to the parking lot they had started from. Sarah paused in her steps and looked over at him.

"Well, I should probably head home. I have a lot of stuff to get done before school tomorrow." Stuff that she'd put off while being overly excited about seeing Toby today in typical Sarah fashion.

	"Yeah me too," Toby agreed. Hecouldn't be gone too long without arousing suspicion. He had been very specific about where he'd been going, just not why or with whom. "I'll let you know about practice. I think it's Wednesday this week. So I'll probably see you then." He held out his arms for a hug. It was too soon for a kiss, but a hug wouldn't be weird, right? 	"Looking forward to it." She eyed his arms, confused for a brief moment, before realizing exactly what was happening. A hug! She easily shifted forward to return the favor, giving him a gentle squeeze. As she pulled back, she pressed a light peck to his cheek and resisted the urge to giggle at her boldness.
