"You're even dumber than I thought you were. You'll never live normal lives. Imagine what will happen when your kids start getting their powers in. Think about how ostracized they'll feel, how their friends will treat them different once they know they're different." Kevin rolled his eyes and started pacing again. "People don't change over night like you all want them to, Emily. And you might as well sell it if you're not going to use it. You're not even worthy of a power."
Kevin grinned and chuckled a little when she suggested that he had a reason for seeing her there. "I assure you, it was an accident running into you today. A... casualty on my way to someone else." He raised his eyebrows and smirked, as if hiding a secret. "No one who'd want to know you anyways."
He held up his hands, as if surrendering. "You're the one staying and chatting. I'm not forcing you." Kevin ignored her comments about her power. He still thought she was weak, no matter what she said. She could have killed him, and yet she didn't. Her emotions were clouding her judgement, no pun intended. She'd grown sentimental and attached to her family. Part of Kevin wanted her to work with Hellfire, along with her whole brood of mutant kids and husband but they were much too attached and she was as mad as a hatter in his books, so screw it!
