Emily glared in frustration as he started making comments about Donnie possibly being the father of her children. "Half-wit, huh that's funny coming from you. Considering he had you and your friends running scared for quite some time. Hm...it's true what they say noses never look the same after they've been broken," Emily smirked, "but no, he's not my children's father, he and I broke up in college."
He was so infuriating, he was laughing, laughing at her after she slapped him. But she should have known better. A guy like him probably got slapped all the time. He was a pig. She shook her head at his comments, "No, never, you're a monster, what Hellfire does isn't helping our cause at all. People like Jimmy lobbying for equal rights, being peaceful about it is the right way to go about it. Also I don't use my powers for personal gain, I rarely use them at all anymore. However...there are times when I can call on them if I think they are necessary." Her eyes flashed white for a moment before returning to green.
Emily was grinning victoriously when his words cause her heart to freeze in her chest. Sam...no. He wouldn't...he couldn't...but the police station was a government building and that is what they usually attacked. And Kevin was in charge he could do anything he wanted. Tears built up in her eyes as she shook her head. A few slipped out. She shut her eyes trying to hold in her emotions. That protectiveness she felt for her children passed over to Sam now. His next words caused her careful control to waver and storm clouds began to form overhead. Thunder boomed and lightning struck a nearby tree causing a branch to crack and fall. The other people in the park scattered, all of them seeming to decide to go home. Good, she didn't want anyone to get hurt. She squeezed her eyes tighter as she tried to pull her powers back, "No, I won't let you touch them." Her eyes flew open and they continually flickered from white to green, back and forth. "You even think about coming near them I swear to God Kevin," another lightning bolt struck the ground near his feet, "next time I won't miss."
