Rumor had it that there had been some recent additions to the staff. Sexy additions, if David had heard correctly. But rumors were just rumors. He wasn't holding his breath, and Evan wasn't allowed to offer input. No one was stopping him, per se, but David couldn't trust his taste anymore. He was tied down, after all. Obviously, no one was allowed to be hotter than his wife.

So, it was time for him to get off his ass and just find out for himself what the big deal was. Since he had yet to run into her in all the usual staff areas, and he'd somehow been passed over the first day she was there, he decided to slip off to the offices during his free period. Word was she was the new adjustment counselor, so she had to be there, right?

Or not. The all the guidence offices were empty for the moment, but he could wait. David slipped into the office freshly painted with the new woman's name. Cate Abernathy. That was funny. He new a Cait once. Close but no cigar. But still, the thought made him smile a little as he took a seat that was probably meant for a student with a problem. He checked his watch. He had lots of time.
