Sorry these are so late!
Who: Alex Bailey and Olivia Ellis-Bailey What: Grief Where: Bailey Next Gen Home When: Backdated to April 3rd
Alex Bailey stood in front of the fireplace in the living room of his home. His hands tightly gripped the mantle where dozens of picture frames containing family photos decorated the top. There were pictures of most of the Bailey kids growing up, mostly of Alex, though a fair amount of Ben, Mia and Grace. There was even a picture of Jacen Allen. In between these were pictures of "the grandkids" as they were collectively referred to. It was a ragtag group of Bailey's and Spinelli's. All with smiles on their faces, all enjoying what little bit of a childhood they were able to experience.
Anyone who knew Alex was well aware of his reactions, which facial expressions meant what. It was evident by the way he was standing and looking down at the floor as if he was about to lose his lunch that Alex was in full-blown rage mode. He was beyond the point of reason. Not even all of his sisters' ex-boyfriends together could have gotten him to this point, and if they had, it was certain that they wouldn't have survived to celebrate their next birthday. In fact, Alex was so beyond the point of madness that he couldn't even muster the strength to yell, throw or break anything. It was an eerie sort of anger that roared around in his brain with no real outlet to escape. He couldn't even speak.
Not even when his daughter came over to wish him a goodnight. All he could do was nod at her, which sent her sulking off, no doubt to rat him out to her mother. But Olivia knew the source of his anger. She knew what sort of wrong his father committed and that it had a deep impact on Alex. The only thing left to do now was wait. Wait for it to pass, wait for the feelings to melt away with the time, wait for some sort of closure that would never come.
