As Danielle steeled herself, Mia did, too. She took in a deep breath, fidgeting with her hair and her clothes and plastered on a small smile she figured would look convincing enough in this situation and moved into the kitchen.
"Yeah. Tino's watching them. Gino and Benny made these for you." Mia wasn't entirely sure but there were some distinctly human shaped figures and what she supposed was a house on Gino's and some sort of animal on Benito's. "Here-" She hesitated as she extended them out for her. "Mom, what happened to your hands?"
