"Can you sing me the alphabet?" Gabby asked her son as he wiggled around in her lap. She pointed to a string of letters hanging up on one of the walls. Daniel was only four but Gabby had already managed to teach him his numbers and was working on the alphabet with him while everyone was out on missions. The small boy started to rattle off the alphabet in a sing song, high pitched voice while pointing to each of the letters as he went along. He clapped when he got to the end of the alphabet as if he was his own audience and Gabby clapped with him. "Yayyy!" she cheered him on, wrapping him in a hug and his cheek.
As they were celebrating a flurry of people rushed into the hide out and Gabby helped Daniel get up out of her lap. "Daddy's home," she said, standing up with him and picking him up to rest him on one of her hips. "Lets go say hi, yeah?" Gabby walked out to the front of the hide out and smiled as she saw Seth, partly because she was glad to see him but also because she was glad he wasn't being carried by someone else or in a body bag. She set Daniel down and let him run over to Seth happily squealing, "Daddy, daddy!"
Gabby assessed the amount of bodies that they had brought back. The one that they had been trying to break out was with them but he was also carrying members of Hellfire. After taking inventory of who was alive, dead, and wounded, Gabby walked over to Seth, grinning. "It looks like you could have used a bit of help out there," she said, motioning to all of the people who either had bullet shots in them or some other type of wound. Before she could let her teasing go any further, she leaned up and kissed Seth passionately. Gabby wouldn't deny how glad she was to see he wasn't on one of the tables and hopefully he could tell with how she kissed him.
