Best. Job. EVER.
Well compared with some of the part time jobs that her classmates were doing while trying to get through college at the same time. True, it would have been a bit more fun to be back in California where more of the guys would spend their off time surfing and getting tan. The Turners were far from being an exception to that rule either. Even Danielle stuck between four boys could hold her own with any of them when it came to catching a big wave and riding it out. Sadly the Atlantic Ocean lacked the same waves and even she wasn't stupid enough to go out just before a hurricane to see if she could hang ten. Beside the fact that the season had been bad enough it would be her luck that the next one would be as bad as the last. Besides the "Turner Kids" were only 33% of their former selves. Ethan was at least old enough to take care of himself, but she was her usual worrying self. The divorce hadn't been easy on either of them, but it had been their choice to go out there. Then she still had hopes of getting to NASA one of these days with the best education that daddy's money could buy.
There wasn't much that she was really allowed to say about her job though considering all the secrecy involved even if all she was doing was running papers around from one area to the next and running errands for whatever they requested which could be anything from pulling someone away from their laptop to just going out to get lunch so people could keep working. She was hugging a few files to herself just waiting on the elevator and glared a little at the occupants as the doors opened and the whole elevator was already full. What was the point in calling it at the first floor if everyone was going to ride it down just to go back up? She checked the time again, knowing she was going to hear about it if she didn't get them to her dad in the next five minutes. Well... it was only four floors. The door locking behind her though just sounded ominous despite the fact that she had a pass key to get back out as Danielle ran up one flight to the next and not bothering to look before unlocking the door and swinging it open right into the young man her father was giving a tour to at the moment.
"OhmygodIamsosorryareyouokay?" Her words just started running together partly from trying to get them out in one breath while trying to catch hers and partly just out of panic that she had giving a concussion to someone that was vital to this whole project they were in the middle of finishing.
