Truth be told, Gabby like Seth as more than just a friend and the phrase pained her on the inside. She wanted it to be more but she also liked her life right now. She didn't like that he was getting hurt in the process but on some level he had to understand. He was only a few years older than she was and surely he had gone through some sort of phase like this, where he just wanted to have fun and not take life too seriously yet despite already having a place of their own and a full time job.
She watched as he examined himself in the mirror. He actually did look like someone who had just escaped from the loony bin, considering the way he had just acted but she still wouldn't mind waking up next to him tomorrow morning. Gabby just crossed her arms over her chest again and kept silent. Silence was better than saying anything to him right now because if she said anything, it would probably be close to 'I really like you too but I don't want a serious relationship' and that would only make things worse again. And she wasn't about to get in trouble for more broken tiles in the ladies' room.
She hadn't noticed that he had actually done any damage to her until he reached over and touched it. It was slightly tender to the touch but on top of that, his touch felt like he was burning her skin. It was almost like she was being touched by a guy for the first time. "Shit," she cursed under her breath, trying to judge how bad the bruise would be. She couldn't go out on the stage with something like that, something resembling a blemish. The star of the show couldn't be damaged goods. Gabby sighed and looked back up at Seth - it was something make up could hopefully fix so she guessed it was okay to forgive him this time for it.
Did she want him to go home? Not really. She wanted him to stay with her and be her man but she wouldn't let that happen. Again though, Gabby opted not to say anything but to speak through her actions instead. She cupped a hand to his cheek and guided him back up so that she was looking at him in the eyes. She hesitated for a minute before leaning in to kiss him tenderly.
