Carter was somewhat relieved when Abby gave him a little smile. It reassured him that he hadn't completely blown it yet. The flowers looked good on her and didn't outshine her dress which was nice. Thank you Gracie for telling him what color flowers to get to match her dress. Sparkles were hard to match.
Part of Carter wanted to slap his hand over Abby's mouth when she was so short with her sister. He knew she'd never hurt her sister but he was the next closest and he really didn't want to be on her bad side. He never knew she could be so scary, she seemed so sweet every time he saw her at the hospital, but I guess that changes when you are taking her little sister to a dance. He froze when Abby put his arm around her shoulder and slipped her own around his waist. Did she want him to die But he calmed the blush that had flamed onto his cheek and tried to smile. After a moment he pretended that Mandy was his Aunt Quinn taking photos and that made his strained grin turn into a gentle one and had him relax slightly against Abby. Once a few pictures were taken he let her go,
"So we should get going, aunt Quinn isn't the most patient." He glanced back to Mandy and swallowed then in a weak voice asked, "Um...my aunt Quinn told me to ask you for copies...you knew whenever you get around to developing them no rush or anything." He stepped back and fumbled with the doorknob for a bit before getting the door open and ushering Abby out. He shot one look back inside and saw Mandy give him that same stern glare and then did a motion that said, "I'm watching you." He gave a little whimper then made his way out shutting the door behind him.
