Kaylee wanted to admit that she was still feeling mostly exhausted but then it was also getting to the window of time she wanted to at least make sure the infant was getting fed regularly. Of course she already had a notebook together with notes on times and other little things she had noticed to bring up with the nurse. Plus the last several months had taught her to make notes so she wouldn't forget things like calling the pediatrician tomorrow and make sure she could even schedule an appointment for the middle of March. At least when you had a brand new patient and she wasn't even sure how long something like that would take. "Tired. Happy. Scared out of my mind in this girl's case..." And fairly sure she couldn't figure out how anyone could look at a face like that and want to give it away. She was already steeling herself for Lucy's appearance. "I think Catarina has jet leg from the long trip."
She grinned up at her mom even though everything she was saying was about enough to make her blush. "I must have been putting on the performance of my life then. Didn't feel really brave and strong and... It HURT." She had her daughter though. Hours old and so far nothing but an angel that would soon have her up all night for feedings and diaper changes. Kaylee was just trying to enjoy the moment despite all the scary thoughts. "Can I tell you a little secret that you have to promise not to point out to Johnny?"
