Who: Nora and Kaylee Ramsey (and Catarina Jones-Ramsey) What: Quiet time with three generations of Ramsey girls Where: Hospital When: Shortly after noon
Nineteen hours... Possibly the longest period of time thus far in her life. It had largely been impossible to get any sleep through the night as the moment she drifted off a little there had been another contraction hitting her. She knew she had school to thank for not being mobbed yet by everyone coming to visit. Even if she had threatened to have someone drag Johnny out of there if he didn’t make the rest of his classes for the day. (Though she had a feeling he might be sleeping through them instead if he went at all. If so she was already guessing he was going to be back over there the moment the last bell rang if he couldn’t talk his way out of class any earlier.) Kaylee was therefore taking every moment she could just to try and rest up for the upcoming parade. She had already promised honors of first non-related person to hold her to be Sasha which still left a number of people who were eligible if they happened to beat her best friend there.
Kaylee was also trying to let her mom sleep as much as possible while looking over at her own daughter resting for the moment in the hospital bassinet. Her daughter... She known for almost eight months and yet it hadn't sunk in until they had put her into Kaylee's arms (back to screaming her lungs out) that it had completely knocked her right over the head. She was completely perfect too, as far as Kaylee was concerned, with all her fingers and toes in the right places along with Johnny's chin, her nose, and possibly the brightest blue eyes she was sure she had ever seen. Of course she was already bias about this being the greatest child since at least she herself had been born... Kaylee pushed herself up and picked up the little bundle before sitting back in bed again. Cata was just barely disturbed out of her sleep before settling back in for more sleep. Apparently last night had worn them both out rather well. "Get your sleep while you can, kitten. It doesn't last long and then you'll be praying for sleep." She looked over at her mom figuring to see her still fast asleep as well... Not so much.
