Who: Madison (and Carter?)
What: The credits are not what was expected
Where: Movie Theater
When: End of the Premiere yesterday
Madison was not the sort to think too long and hard about Valentine's Day most years. Especially when she was hopelessly single which may or may not have had anything to do with the fact that the male she was around the most was a match strike away from flaming sometimes. She had basically already seen the movie short of how the final cuts went and the credits. It was a little cheesy on the outside, but she didn't mind considering the deeper message. She had still gone to the effort of looking nice for Carter's sake. What was the worst that could happen when she had a seat reserved for her even if it was largely cast and crew that all looked to be 18 at the oldest, and even that was questionable. She just sat back to watch the movie and enjoy herself. After all Carter had insisted that she come despite her reservations after everything had happened. They could go on from there though and everything would turn out fine.
It was brilliant though, and at the very least she could see where he was improving and some of the areas that still needed working on. She just smiled over in his direction as the credits started to roll. Despite not having done anything in really raising him, her baby boy had turned out alright. She was slightly curious how or if she was going to get credited for her work and the smile faded just a little at seeing her birth name coming up on the screen. The next two parts that followed just made her stomach completely drop. He had asked her to the premiere... for this? Public humiliation was not her cup of tea as she just kept low to keep from distracting others while it was finishing and just pulled her coat on while heading out the door. Just when she thought they had been making a step forward they were sliding three steps back. Maybe this was just his way of making sure it was pointed out that he didn't need a mother... Right now though she just wanted to get into her car and drive back home so she could cry and hope Ethan was available for a phone call.
