((OOC: Sorry, sorry! School got crazy for a couple of days there!))
Jazlyn liked trying to keep everyone happy, but sometimes it was a lot to remember. That, and she hadn't realized she'd be eating dinner in the break room with Della Mae about, or she would have grabbed a Chik Patty or something. She kept them stocked in her freezer simply because she preferred the taste. And it was something easy to have when Della Mae was about - she didn't like upsetting anyone. She would have left the tuna out, but she needed the protein. Actually, that bit of self-perserverence, over the opinions of others, was new, from some small bit of confidence she was gaining from gathering powers. She still gave a small apologetic smile, though, when she started eating.
She munched on small bites absentmindedly. "Maybe. I kind of hope he comes back in the summer or something, though. I'd rather see Frank back around than a new worker." Jazlyn didn't care much for change. She glanced at her book, but really wasn't taking the words of the pages in, not while she was having a conversation with Della. It was hard to keep up small talk with customers for the painfully shy girl - she didn't want to step on any toes, so she rarely knew what to say. It was easier with someone she understood.
She took another small bite, thinking about Della's words. She shrugged a little as well, just a half second behind the other girl. "Thanks," she said first, leaning forward a little and scuffing her foot against the floor. Even such a small compliment gave her a little blush. "It'd be nice to actually talk better with everyone. I mean, sometimes, I can talk okay with classmates. But it's still... I hate saying the wrong thing. And the more I talk, the more likely I am to say something wrong." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I think you always have something interesting to talk about."
