One day she was at least going to be graduated out of there and possibly then at least have him downgraded to "Mr. Bailey". It was a hard habit to break even just from giving people the tickets for their show no matter how close they were to her or her family. Kaylee was used to people looking her over, but at least he wasn't a second away from some terrible comment. She had gotten one day of ISS for groping a kid who had touched her stomach without asking. That had been minimal enough for the Assistant Principal at least considering her record. One small mar wasn't going to kill her chances of medical school. There were plenty of other things that would do that. "Good to know. Four days into classes and I already miss going."
Kaylee stuck her hands into her pockets rather than take his. it probaby wouldn't have been terrible, but it seemed a little awkward to be walking around holding hands with your principal. "Cold doesn't bother me all that much actually. And I'm required to have my phone on me at all times for those just in case spontanious labor hits. But hey, I could be back in class by Monday." She tried to make sure to add more noticable sarcasm to her tone. People thinking she was actually serious about running back to school with a daughter likely in the NICU were seriously underestimating her character. "Otherwise I just needed the fresh air and remember there is still a world outside of the four walls of my house. Which I've sadly done no painting at all." There was no point when the nursery was still basically her bedroom. Unless Lucy moved out soon and even then she'd likely get an earful from her sister for wanting to use her room.
