Samuel chuckled a little at her comment. He really wished that she wasn't so proper in addressing him but it was all part of being an adult he hated so much - no one wanted to risk treating you like you were a colleague or like they were comfortable with you. "There have been a few incidents," he joked. "But we've managed to keep them under wraps somehow. Lucky for you, the school still stands and awaits your return." Samuel eyed her belly and smiled warmly at her. He hoped that she wouldn't take it the wrong way but it was obvious why she wasn't there but that she so desperately wanted to be.
"I could ask you the same thing," he smirked and kept walking. He put out his hand like a gentleman for her to take. It might look a little odd that he was doing it but what was the harm in talking to one of his students on a nice walk? "No cell phone will be necessary. Quite the contrary actually - I left mine on purpose at the school. Why bring a phone with you for people to bother you if you don't wish to be bothered?"
He smiled and slowly kept walking along the sidewalk. "So how have you been? Outside of having fun watching the paint dry on all of the walls of your house?"
