When: Saturday afternoon
Where: Outside Sam's house
Rating: Low
Emily let a small smile grace her face as she buckled her seat belt in her brand new car. Well...it wasn't brand new, it was Evan's old car and he probably gave it to her so that Kevin and his friends wouldn't be able to get at her on her way home. She was pretty sure they wouldn't try anything since apparently Donnie Abrams beat the living crap out of them. How he did that on his own still baffled her. More than how he did it, she wondered why. He enjoyed annoying her more than anyone, should he have been on the same side as them? Okay maybe that was a little harsh, Donnie's teasing was annoying but he never crossed the line where it became harassment. She shook her head, why he did it didn't really matter, she was glad he did it. Kevin and his friends seemed almost scared to come into the diner anymore in case Donnie showed up. It was nice to think that the whole nightmare was over finally.
Her smile grew as she turned the corner onto a very familiar street and stopped in front of a very familiar house. There was a little apprehension stirring in her stomach. She and Sam hadn't really spoken since their exchange on the beach one day where she sort of cornered him and pretty much dumped all her anger and frustration at all the boys in her life on him. He didn't deserve it but she was just sort of sick of history repeating itself over and over again. Unfortunately Sam was the most recent one so he got the brunt of her anger finally bubbling over. Things between them seemed cool on the journals and he didn't seem to not want to see her or still be angry with her. Maybe he missed her too...as a friend of course. She had moved on from the part where she'd always want more from him. Sure she had accepted that part of her would always love him, but now it would no longer hurt to see him with someone else. She rolled down her window and Irulan immediately sprung from her sleep on the passenger seat to hang over Emily's arm to look out the window her tail wagging violently. Apparently Emily wasn't the only one who had missed him.
