Natalie couldn't help herself. A small laugh escaped despite her best efforts. "I'm sure he did, Alfie. I can't imagine you kicking someone in the stomach for no reason." She couldn't picture Alfie kicking anyone in the stomach, period, but apparently it had been vigorous enough to get him in some serious trouble. "Face sounds cooler, though," she teased with a wink. "Just saying."
She nodded at his explanation. "Well, I know Evan was saying not so long ago that he needed some more belayers around. He doesn't like having to spend all his time here, so you've got a pretty good shot at it, if that helps."
