Jimmy looked at his drink and how about half of it was already gone. He swirled it a few times before looking back at Elliot and putting the glass down. He picked up on the pause between Elliot's last few words. He figured that Elliot must not be really into politics if he wasn't sure how to respond to Jimmy's recent hatred for his job at town hall. Instead of continuing that, he just nodded in agreement and dropped the topic.
"Been keeping your distance when passing out towels, yeah?" Jimmy smirked and chuckled a little at his joke but then stopped when he went to take yet another sip from his drink as he realized what actually just came out of his mouth. He had been thinking it but he didn't actually mean to say it to Elliot. Jimmy didn't know if Elliot was sensitive about his 'power' or if it was fair game to joke between the two of them but hopefully Elliot wouldn't take it too personally.
Jimmy raised his eyebrows when Elliot told him about his break from work for the holidays. "That must be nice. Doing anything special? A trip off island? Celebrating the New Year with friends?" Perhaps if Elliot didn't have any plans for the New Year, he'd be interested in going out and having a bit of fun instead of just going for a drink. It wasn't that Jimmy minded being alone with Elliot but he realized that because of what happened, it was a bit awkward between the two of them and Jimmy didn't know how to change that. Not that he was really good friends with anyone next to his brother and roommates, but still, a companion could be fun.
