The look on Alex's face was skeptical at best. Had they been anywhere else, perhaps he wouldn't have been so jittery. As it was, he was afraid that he was going to cause a water spout and end up having to pay for all this expensive shit. At least their house belonged to them, so if he happened to drown something (other than their beloved dog of course for the love of God), he wouldn't feel half as bad. They could always get a replacement. He was sure there was no replacing any of the shit in here. "Course not."
He watched as she daintily moved around the table and couldn't help but grin. It still amazed him sometimes how well they complimented each other. Even when they were on opposite sides of the emotional scale, they could somehow manage to reel each other back to emotional stability for the most part. Alex managed to put his piece of bread down and tried to mimic her way of eating. "I'm fine. Just... trying not to drown any of these mooks. I don't have enough money to pay for the plastic surgery they'll need."
