Who: Evan and Nat What: dinner, and a question! When: backdated to Natalie's birthday Where: White Pines Rated: TBD
Evan grinned at Natalie across the table. She seemed to be enjoying herself-- or, he hoped that he was right to assume she was. Their dinner was basically perfect. And, he thought, for the price it was, it was a good thing. Not that Evan minded spending money on Natalie. He would probably buy her whatever she wanted, if he had the means. But it was still expensive as far as dinners on the island went, and he hoped it was impressing her as much as he wanted it to.
He still had something important to ask her, but he wasn't quite sure how. Did he just ask while she had a bit of food in her mouth? Or did he wait and ask on the way home? He wasn't sure. It was a tough call, but one thing was for sure: if he didn't decide soon, he might just blurt it out. He shoved a bite of steak into his mouth to keep this from happening. He chewed and gave her another (closed mouth) grin.
"I love you, you know that?" He said, once his bite was chewed and swallowed.
