Jenna took a deep breath trying to rid herself of the awkward and nervous feeling in her stomach. Of course the doorbell had brought her mom out of her office and she was part way down the hall. Waving her hands at her mother to go away Jenna went to answer the door. Pulling open the door she smiled, “Hi.”
She backed out of the way so he could come in and closed the door behind him. She stuffed her hands in her pockets to keep from fiddling with them and tried to seem like this wasn’t weird. “So um there’s movies and stuff or we can do something else. I wasn’t really sure what you wanted to do.” Good God shut up Jenna, she thought. Like she couldn’t make it any more obvious that she felt awkward. The idea of hanging out was so much easier when it came to her female friends as opposed to her ex. She needed to just calm down she hadn’t even had so much of an issue being around him when he’d come back, what was wrong with her?
