Through her sobs Josie heard him say that Alan killed himself to get away from her. She heard the door slam. Oh no, no, he was not getting away with that. How dare he. She picked up the picture frame with the pictures he gave her. She stood up and stormed towards the door. She flung it open and screamed,
"I hate you Toni, take your stupid present back," she threw the frame to the ground in his direction making the glass break and the frame splinter. She then slammed the door. She buried her hands in her hair as she tried to calm herself. It wasn't true, it couldn't be. Alan wouldn't do that...they were happy...weren't they? He was right though he hadn't invited her to Thanksgiving like she had hoped, but she was pretty sure most of his family didn't really approve of her. Also asking him to move in with her? She was so stupid...routines were what he was about and she wanted to mess that up. Also...Toni wouldn't lie about something so serious...Alan...was gone. He killed himself...and it was her fault. Her throat closed up in shock as she stumbled to the wall and reached out her hand to hold herself up. She turned so her back leaned against the wall and she broke.
Josie face screwed into a sob as she sank down the wall and let out painful screams and yells. At the shouting Edward and Susan Allen came rushing out. He took his daughter in his arms and awkwardly patted her back giving his wife a helpless look, which she returned.
