A sense of unease fell over Josie at Toni's hollow laugh and how he avoided her eyes. Something was wrong, seriously wrong. A weight settled in her stomach when he said they should sit down, sitting down was never a good sign. She nodded, "Sure," and took his wrist leading him into the living room.
Josie moved Toni to sit down on the couch and she sat next to him. She took one of his hands in both of hers. "Okay, Toni, what's going on, what's wrong. I know I'm not Alan, but I'm still your friend, you can tell me anything."
