Toni wasn't entirely sure he had heard that completely right. It just wasn't making any sort of sense when Alan had just seemed... Fine. Two weeks ago they had just been walking along the beach and going for coffee and now Alan's (or he was going to assume it was Alan's) blood was all over his sister instead of in his body where it belonged. "Maybe it was an accident. Like he didn't mean to actually do that." His voice was sounding weird while he was trying to come to some sort of terms with this idea that his best friend wasn't breathing any more. He hugged onto Mary Ann a little tighter. He was still enough of a guy to not break down even though he was feeling his stomach dropping as the seconds passed. "Alan wasn't depressed. There's the tree and Christmas... And it's his birthday. We're all going out next week..."
