Who: Kathryn / Open to any adult because she'd like to get scientisty
What: A late night drink
When: Monday evening
Where: The pub
With her son safely at home under the eye of her husband who occasionally served a purpose like that, Kathryn had picked the evening for time to herself at the bar. Sipping her second martini of the night, she was thinking over the patient notes she examined earlier in the day.
Of all the children, there were a selective few she'd followed closely over the last years. It was satisfying to finally see the extent of their powers stretched, developing in fascinating ways...but none of them, she thought with disappointment, constructively. They had revolutionary powers that were able to change the world. Go back in time and alter the past. See the future and change it. Mental manipulation to bring down any government. Frankly she couldn't be bothered with the politics, given the mindset of the politicians she knew, but she saw so much of the untapped potential.
It was such a waste, she thought to herself while she lifted the stick of olives from the glass, and delicately removed one of the three with her teeth, looking distant as she chewed it.
