WHO: Mary Ann and Luc. WHAT: Meeting up and stuff. WHEN: (BACKDATED) October 31, during the Bailey party. WHERE: The Bailey’s house. RATING: Tame I imagine.
It seemed that no sooner had Mary Ann arrived at the Bailey party with her brother that they got separated. She wasn’t worried, well not too much, chances were he’d found Toni or Josie. She honestly hoped it was the former over the later but well she couldn’t do much of anything about who he’d found and met up with. Besides it was a party they were meant to mingle with other people in attendance.
She wound her way through the guests stopping and chatting with people now and again. For the most part she was having a good time; she was just annoyed mildly with her costume. The practical part of her had necessitated that she get one that she could drive in since a full dress version of Marie Antoinette included a ridiculous floor length skirt that was undoubtedly bolstered by layers of tulle. The short skirt her particular costume had was too but it was to such a smaller degree that she wasn’t bothered by the rough feel of the tulle. It was just the length of said skirt that was driving her crazy. She was a little concerned that if she stood or stepped the wrong way the whole thing might flip up and she’d end up showing her underwear to everyone in the room. Hopefully neither of her cousins was present if that should happen or even Alan. She’d probably die of embarrassment. Next year she’d get the more conservative version of a costume practicality be damned.
She laughed at something the person she was talking with said and excused herself. She’d spotted through the throng someone else she knew and would like to talk with. Truth be told she was fairly curious as to how Luc was fairing with his gangster costume and if he’d brought the toy gun with him. She’d been intrigued by the costume idea and the prop. She remembered when she was a kid and even her last few Halloween parties it was more the traditional route with costumes than something of the only slightly distant past.
Coming up beside him she smiled and took him in. “The costume suits you. I don’t think there are many guys on the island that can pull off a three piece suit quite as well.” She greeted.
